Photography is my favourite hobby. I have been practicing photography since 1973. I started my photography with a Roliecord – twin reflex camera, using Black and white 120 films rolls which had a film dimension of 6cms X 6cms. I had a dark room at home and used to do the chemistry work, like developing and printing of photos.

My first photo in Digital camera
In 2004 when I was in Kuwait, I purchased my first Digital Camera, NIKON – Coolpix-2200. It was a very basic Digital camera with just 2 megapixel resolution. It is a general statement that “it is only the person who is behind the camera that matters and not the camera itself.” To put it into action, I started planning and taking my photos, taking care to push the camera to its maximum limits.
This is my first photo taken on a NIKON-Coolpix-2200 Digital camera, with 2 Mega pixel resolution.

Tippu Palace
I did not get a chance to use my new digital camera to maximum use till 2005, when I came back to India. I had planned a package tour conducted by ‘Karnataka tourism Development Corporation’. The tour was from Bangalore. The places visited were, Tipu palace, Srirangapatnam, Mysore, Nanjangud, Ooty and Connoor. Here are the photos.

Fountains of Brindavan Gardens.
Brindavan Gardens
Taking photos of fountains illuminated with color lights is a real challenging task even with expensive cameras. Having a point and shoot Digital pocket camera, I had to do a little bit of planning to push it to the maximum, to get the desired best results. Normally, in film cameras the ‘B’ settings are used for timed exposure to shoot night shots. But in Digital pocket cameras, it is not there. Hence I tried in fireworks setting. But it did not work well. Then I tried in illuminated night objects/ buildings settings. I got it right but the photos turned out blurred due to shake of camera. To avoid shake I used and a tripod and finally succeeded in getting the desired results.
